SENIOR (2018-19)
Finished her Titan career as a key piece in another historic season earning All-Big West Singles First Team and Doubles First Team honors for the second consecutive year... Went 13-11 in singles play for the year... Was 10-8 in dual matches including a 4-2 mark in Big West play in the No. 1 spot... Won her quarterfinal matchup against CSUN's Monika Van De Vondel, taking the match 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4)... Was dominant in doubles play going 17-9 overall, tied for the team-high... Was 13-5 in dual matches including a team-best 6-1 in Big West action... Paired up with Sarah Nuno, the two earned First Team Doubles honors after posting a 14-7 overall record together going 11-5 in duals and 5-1 against Big West opponents... Her and Nuno won both of their Big West Tournament matches with a 6-0 sweep in the quarterfinals against CSUN and a 6-4 win against Long Beach State in the semis... Also took down the No. 58 ranked duo of Andrea Garcia and Julia Mikulski from Florida State in the All-American Championships where they made it to the semifinal round... As a pair, they ended the season on a six-match winning streak.

JUNIOR (2017-18)
Karla finished her Junior year being named in the 2018 Big West Singles and Doubles First Teams…ended the season with a singles overall record of 25-7…25 wins being the third best total of the team this season and her college career best…she went 18-3 in dual matches and played all of her games at No.3 spot…helped the Titans reach their first ever Championship match going 5-2 in Big West play…won 6-2 6-2 against Hawaii Marina Hruba in her first-ever Big West Championship game…compiled season and career-high thirteen-game win streak from November to March…finished the year winning her last 8 games…partnered with Sarah Nuno for doubles play and together owned a 26-6 record including 17-5 for dual play matches all played at No.1 spot…they played one game against ranked doubles team of LMU Miroshnichenko/Voracek but came short 4-6.

SOPHOMORE (2016-17)
Finished the 2016-2017 season with a 15-14 overall record in singles...including going 12-9 in dual match play, 3-5 in tournament play and 3-4 in Big West action... Teamed up with partner Sarah Nuno to go 21-7 in overall doubles play including 17-4 in dual match play, 4-3 in tournament play, and 6-1 in Big West play...All 21 doubles matches came on court No. 2...played one ranked opponent, and lost to No. 50 Caroline Dailey 6-0, 6-3 on Nov. 3...boasted three-match win streaks on separate occasions, while, she only lost once in a nine-match span from Feb. 3 to March 18...teamed up with Sarah Nuno to win 13 straight doubles matches from Jan. 21 through Apr. 9, while, also boasting a 15 match unbeaten streak during that span. 

FRESHMAN (2015-16)
One of three freshmen in the lineup, her 16 victories in the spring were the most for a Titan freshman since prior to 2001…finished the season with a dual match singles record of 16-7 playing in the No. 2 (1-0), No. 3 (7-3), No. 4 (6-4) and No. 5 (2-0) spots in the lineup…in Big West singles play boasted a 6-2 record… partnered with fellow freshman Masako Makiba as the pair went 9-7 in dual doubles play at No. 2 (8-7) and No. 3 (1-0) in the lineup…finished 2-2 against Big West doubles competition…during Fullerton’s program-record eight-match win streak from Feb. 3- March 7 totaled a 5-3 singles record as well as 3-1 doubles mark…helped the Titans snap a 29-match losing streak to San Diego State as she scored a point defeating Dora Somoracz, 6-3, 2-6, 6-2, at No. 5 in the lineup while her No. 2 doubles team edged  Kennedy Davis and Paola Diazde Regules , 6-3, to help capture the doubles point (01/23)…helped the Titans upset 56th-ranked Hawai’i as she defeated Klara Pribylova, 6-4, 7-5, at No. 4 in the order (03/03)…helped the Titans snap a six-match losing streak to Wyoming as she beat Dorottya Jonas, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 3 in the order and helped the Titans to a doubles sweep by knocking off Jonas and Miranda Talbert, 6-3, at No. 2 (03/16)…needed three sets but helped the Titans end a 20-match losing streak to UC Irvine with a 6-3, 4-6, 11-9 victory over Taylor LeFridge at No. 3 in the order (04/02)…also helped Fullerton to a 4-0 win over Cal Poly as she defeated Ilana Oleynik, 7-5, 6-2, at No. 3 in the lineup.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2015 graduate of Laurel Springs Online School…her freshman, sophomore and junior years attended Lycee Francais de Saint-Domingue in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic…in the Dominican Republic trained with Pablo Hernandez as well as Oliver Komi Akli at the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park, Md. 

PERSONAL
Born in Manhattan, N.Y…daughter of Marcos Portalatin and Maria Ceballos…has one sister, Denisse...major is criminal justice…wants to play on the tennis professional tour (WTA) and would also like to work for the FBI as a behavioral profiler...favorite player is Rafael Nadad.
