FULLERTON, Calif. – The Titans were able to win their conference opener dominating UC Davis 5-1.

Cal State Fullerton (3-2) opened Big West Conference play this Sunday with a win against UC Davis (1-5).
For the Titans, this marks the third win in the last four years against the Aggies.
Due to expected rain this Sunday, both teams agreed on starting with singles play first.

SINGLES
The Titans looked strong from the start. Jadie Acidera was the first one to get away in the first set and she confirmed her great shape of the moment as she gave Fullerton an early 1-0 lead.
Acidera stays undefeated in dual matches with her fifth straight dual singles win. She is now on a six-win streak, and did not lose a set since January, 19^th.

Acidera was quickly followed by Luxizi Meng who allowed Jessica Walker to win only one game. Meng won 6-1,6-0.

Eira Tobrand at No.5 gave Fullerton its third point of the day with a clean 6-2,6-1 win over Skyler Holm.

The Titans had to be patient before getting their fourth point for the win. Kayla Portalatin and Caisey Lee Emery battled and won their tiebreaker to win the first set while Sarah Nuno let her opponent take the first set.

Kayla Portalatin was the one giving the Titans their first conference win by dominating the second set 6-1.

Caisey Lee Emery also dominated her opponent in the second set and got the 7-6,6-4 win.

Sarah Nuno fell to Nikita Pradeep 6-4,6-4 giving the Aggies their only point in this dual match.
