LOS ANGELES – The Titans picked up four more wins on Saturday at the Women of Troy Invitational tournament. Jadie Acidera led the way for Fullerton with two wins.
The first match up of the day was against University of Arizona in singles play. The Titans held their own, winning three of the six matches.
Karla Portalatin was able to finish the game quick in two sets, earning a 6-4,6-2 victory against her opponent Talya Zandberg.
Sarah Nuno won the first set 7-6(4) and was up five in the second one when her opponent Csenge Furak was retired due to an injury.
Jadie Acidera fought hard to earn a comeback 5-7, 6-1, 10-4 victory over Taylor Tamblyn. Later that day, Acidera again to come up victorious, this time against LMU's Sofiya Gaisina with an impressive 6-2, 6-1 win to bring the Titans to a total of four victories on Saturday.
Jadie Acidera now owns a 3-1 record in singles play so far this season.
Fullerton won one game against LMU out of the four games played between the two teams. Against University of Oregon, Portalatin and Genevieve Zeidan were not able to defeat their opponents.
