Phoenix, Ariz. – The Titans got their second win of the season this Saturday against Grand Canyon University 6-1.

The Titans bounced back after this Friday's loss against Arizona State. They leave Arizona with a win this Saturday and now own a 2-1 record after three matches this season.

Fullerton stays undefeated and moves to a 7-0 all-time overall records against GCU.

DOUBLES

The Titans started off on the right foot by taking a 1-0 lead early this morning.

On Court No. 2, Caisey Lee Emery and Masako Makiba were able to finish their game first 6-2 against GCU's duo of Lo Pumo and Infantino.

Eira Tobrand and Luxizi Meng will give Fullerton its first point of the day with their 6-4 win over Morel and Prudhomme.

GCU was able to win the doubles on Court No.1 but the point had already been secured by the Titans.

SINGLES

The Titans confirmed they were in good shape this Saturday by winning all but one singles match.

Sarah Nuno was able to get a quick 6-2,6-0 win against Lo Pumo to give the Titans a 2-0 lead.

Short after, Luxizi Meng won her singles match 6-3,6-1 to put Fullerton up 3-0.

Jadie Acidera was the one securing the win for the Titans with a straight sets win 6-2,6-1 at No.6.

Occhipinti reduced the Titans lead by dominating Karla Portalatin at No.1: 6-4,6-1.

Caisey Lee Emery dominated Buhr with a 6-3,6-2 win. The Titans were up 6-1.

In the last match, Eira Tobrand won the first 6-3 but saw Infantino win the second one 6-4. It all came down to the super tiebreaker where Tobrand was able to give the Titans their sixth point of the day.

UP NEXT
The Titans will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 9^th against San Diego State University at home. This will mark the beginning of four-match homestand for the Titans.
