Had a .403 on-base percentage and a .370 slugging percentage... Recorded two stolen bases and drew 23 walks... Was drafted in the 13th round of the MLB Draft by the Oakland Athletics.
SOPHOMORE (2018)
Played and started in all 61 games as a sophomore... led the team with 254 at-bats... Finished the season hitting .272 with 14 doubles, four triples and 22 RBI... Stole five bases throughout the year and drew 10 walks... Had an on-base percentage of .313 with a .358 slugging percentage... Went 3-for-4 with three runs and a RBI in the Titans 9-3 win against Long Beach State on May 24, 2018... Recorded three hits with one run and a triple in game one of the Super Regional against Washington.
FRESHMAN (2017)
Played in 57 games, 55 of them coming as a starter… started two games in the College World Series… finished the season hitting .314 with 1 home run and 24 RBI… as a freshman posted the second-most hits on the team with 70 (9 for extra bases)…. has made just three errors in 243 touches of the ball at second base (.988 fld%)… currently leads the team with 22 multi-hit games including five 3-hit games and one 4-hit game on Mar. 28 at UCLA (4-for-4 with 1 RBI, 1 R, 1 BB)… has had five multi-RBI games including his 3-RBI night at Arizona State on Mar. 8… had a 9-game hitting streak from Apr. 1 to Apr. 15 when he went 19-for-38 (.500) with 5 runs batted in… batted .333 (4-for-12) with a double and a triple in the Stanford Regional… was just 1-for-12 against Long Beach in the Super Regional… was named to the initial College baseball Foundation Brooks Wallace Award watch list… was named the Big West Conference’s Freshman Player of the Year… was selected to the All-Big West Conference First Team… was named a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2016 graduate of St. Francis Central Coast Catholic in Watsonville, California… Played all four years on varsity at shortstop, second base, third base, and center field… Coached by Kenny Nakagawa in the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League… As a freshman, batted .402 with 1 homerun, 13 RBI, and 14 stolen bases … As a sophomore, batted .349 with 9 RBI, and 19 stolen bases… Posted a .500 batting average with 20 RBI, and 44 stolen bases in his junior year and was named an All-State member… In his senior season, he hit .442 with 1 homerun and 22 stolen bases… Was named first-team All-League in each of his four seasons… Was also named Great West League All-Star game MVP.

Born in Yuma, Arizona... Son to Hector and Claudia Valenzuela… Has three siblings, Dennise (26), Hector (23), and Saidi (12)… Currently majors in Criminal Justice at CSUF… Has volunteered for Caroline’s Closet and the Second Harvest Food Bank (2016)… enjoys playing ping pong… Models his game after Jose Altuve… Favorites include: Derek Jeter (player), St. Louis Cardinals (team), AT&T Park (stadium), Kobe Bryant (athlete), 42 (movie), Kendrick Lamar (artist), and Benihana (restaurant).
