Applequist began the season at the Riverside City 4-Way and competed in the 4x400-meter relay (3:32.31), 100 meters (11.38, +1.8 wind) and long jump (21-6.25/6.56m) ... Clocked a season-best time of 11.34 (+1.8 wind) in the 100-meter sprint at the UC Riverside Spring Track Classic ... Earned Big West Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Big West Challenge. He triple jumped 51-0 (15.54m) and set a meet record. He also set a personal best in the long jump with a mark of 23-0.5 (7.02m) ... Posted a season-best mark of 51-1.5 (15.58m) in the triple jump at the UCLA Legends Invite ... Earned a fourth-place finish in the triple jump at the Big West Championships with a wind-aided mark of 50-3.25 (15.32m, +2.1 wind).
PRIOR TO CAL STATE FULLERTON
Competed at Mt. San Antonio College from 2014-2016 while redshirting the 2015 season ... As a freshman in 2014, he set season-best marks of 11.55 in the 100 meters, 20-2.25 (6.15m) in the long jump and 48-3.5 (14.72m) in the triple jump ... During his redshirt sophomore year in 2016, he long jumped 22-6.25 (6.86m) and triple jumped 51-5 (15.67m).
