SOPHOMORE (2016-17)
Missed the first 11 games of the season but played in each of the remaining 21 games while starting in 11 of them ... Was second on the team in scoring at 11.2 points per game while shooting 40.2 percent from the field ... He shot 32-of-44 from the stripe, good for 72.7 percent ... Hauled in 4.0 rebounds, dished out 1.38 assists and recorded 1.14 steals per game ... Contributed 24 total steals to a Titan defense that led the league in forced turnovers per game at 14.31 ... Reached double-figure scoring in 12 games on the season including two 20+ point games ... Poured in 21 points (8-of-16 shooting) and five rebounds with four assists in his first game of the season against Portland on Dec. 22 in a Titan victory ... Scored a season-high 23 points against Long Beach State (Feb. 11) on 9-for-14 shooting ... Poured in 18 points in the season finale against Weber State on March 16 to go along with six rebounds, three assists and a steal.
FRESHMAN (2015-16)
Voted the 2015-16 Big West Conference Men's Basketball Freshman of the Year by the league’s nine head coaches and received all-Big West honorable mention recognition…was the third Cal State Fullerton student-athlete, and first since Bobby Brown in 2003-04, to be bestowed with the Freshman of the Year honor…broke Brown's single-season freshman scoring record of 369 points, and scored 429 points for the Titans…14.3 points per game average ranked second on the squad this season and seventh in the Big West Conference as the league's top scoring freshman…also added 4.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game…averaged 16.1 points per game in Big West Conference games…set CSF freshman records for points (429), points per game (14.3), field goals made (139), free throws made (115) - beating the old rookie record by a total of 35 - and free throw percentage (.772)…led the Titans with 22 double-figure scoring games and added six efforts of 20 points or more…led the Titans in scoring, rebounds and assists on eight occasions, respectively…recorded the first double-double of his collegiate career in an 88-56 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills, tallying 15 points as he shot 60-percent overall (6-of-10) and led the squad with a career-high 12 rebounds…scored a game-high 25 points in a 65-60 loss to Portland (12/19)…led the Titans with a 19-point effort in an 86-79 loss to Hawai’i (01/16)…scored a game-high 23 points in an 83-75 loss to Cal Poly (01/23)…scored a career-high 27 points on a 7-of-14 effort from the floor and 11-of-12 performance from the free-throw line in a 69-64 loss at UC Davis (01/27)…scored a game-high 19 points and added three assists in a 61-57 victory over UC Davis (02/04)…led the Titans in scoring (21), rebounds (7) and assists (4) in an 81-68 loss at UC Santa Barbara (02/06)…scored 22 points in an 80-66 victory at Southern Utah (11/24)…scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds in a 79-73 come-from-behind victory at UC Riverside in the Big West Conference opener (01/07)…scored 18 points to go along with eight rebounds and two assists in a 75-73 loss to Long Beach State (03/02).
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2015 graduate of Centennial High School in Corona, Calif…played four years of varsity basketball for head coach Josh Giles at both guard positions…won back-to-back Big VIII League championships with records of 10-0 in both 2014 and 2015…as a senior averaged 11.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game as the Huskies finished the year ranked fourth in the state with an overall record of 25-6…advanced to the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section playoffs… during his junior season led Centennial to the 2014 CIF State Boys Playoff championship game in Sacramento…the Huskies finished the season with a 29-4 record…the team finished the season ranked 23rd in the nation and eighth in the state as rated by MaxPreps.com…scouting services in Southern California have said Ahmad was one of the most improved prospects in the area from his junior to senior year.
