Box Score (PDF)FULLERTON, Calif. – Sophomore Khalil Ahmad led all players with 15 points and freshman Davon Clare scored 13 as Cal State Fullerton held its Blue-Orange Scrimmage Saturday morning at Titan Gym.
The scrimmage ran three 10-minute periods with an extra five-minutes added after 30 minutes of play. Clare played the full game with the Blue squad while Ahmad ran with the Orange squad. Clare added six rebounds, two assists and two steals while Ahmad tied for the game-high with seven boards to go along with two steals.
Lionheart Leslie played on both squads, switching sides after the second period. He scored nine points while playing with the Blue team but dished out three assists while running with the Orange.
Other notable performances:
Arkim Robertson – Nine total points (7 blue, 2 Orange), eight total rebounds (5 Blue, 3 Orange), two total blocks (game-high)
Jamal Smith – Six total steals (5 Blue, 1 Orange)
Austen Awosika – Five points, three assists
Dwight Ramos – Eight Rebounds
The Cal State Fullerton men's basketball schedule features a seven-game non-conference slate at Titan Gym which includes Portland State, Nebraska-Omaha, Pacific, Southern Utah and Portland.
Following an exhibition against Saint Martin's on Nov. 5 at Titan Gym, Fullerton opens up the 2016-17 campaign at home for the first time in Taylor's four-year tenure at Cal State Fullerton on Nov. 11 as they host Caltech at Titan Gym.
