FULLERTON Calif. – After a midweek loss to USC, Cal State Fullerton looks to get back to its winning ways has it hosts San Francisco in a three-game series at Goodwin Field beginning Friday night at 7:00 p.m. PT.
The Titans (3-5) and San Francisco (2-6) have only faced each other three times in the history of the program and haven't played each other since 2014 when the Titans took two out of three games in the series at Goodwin Field. Fullerton outscored the Dons 21-7 in that series.
San Francisco opened the season against fellow Big West member, CSUN, and were swept in three games by the Matadores. The Dons head into Goodwin Field after a series loss to CSU Bakersfield last weekend and a midweek loss to San Jose State.
The weekend rotation for the Titans has been on their game to start the season. The rotation of Tanner Bibee, Kyle Luckham and Joe Magrisi have allowed just seven earned runs. All three are holding their opponents batting average under .230 while Luckham and Magris are holding them under .200.
Bibee has been dealing in his first two starts of the season, allowing just one run each game while striking out nine in both games. Bibee has been locked in after allowing a runner on base as he is holding opponents to a .167 average with runners on.
