FULLERTON, Calif. --- The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team opened its season with a victory last week, and will return to action on Wednesday with the first of three matches against programs from the San Diego area.
Fullerton begins the week at home, hosting UC San Diego at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Titan Tennis Courts, before traveling south to play at San Diego State on Saturday and at San Diego on Sunday.
Admission to all Titan tennis matches at Titan Tennis Courts is FREE.

Cal State Fullerton's 5-2 victory over Nevada on Saturday marked the third consecutive year that the Titans have won their season opener.
In addition, senior Alexis Valenzuela came from behind to topple Nevada's 66th-ranked Claudia Herrero, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4. The West Covina, Calif., native is now 41-14 in her dual match singles career.
Fellow senior Camille De Leon also fought back from a first set loss, 6-7 (9), 6-3, 6-3, to defeat Nevada's Adriana Gergelyova at No. 3 in the lineup. De Leon boasts a career singles mark of 43-25 at Fullerton.
OPPONENTS
UC San Diego is rated 13th in the country by the Oracle/ITA Division II Women's National Team Rankings. On Saturday, the Tritons suffered a 4-3 loss at San Diego State.
Last season, the Titans made history on Jan. 23, 2016, after recording the program's first victory over San Diego State in the all-time series as the Titans scored a 5-2 win at Aztec Tennis Center. The Titans and Aztecs have played 30 times in the history of the series, including 12 consecutive seasons dating back to 2005.
San Diego will open its 2017 season on Saturday, hosting UC San Diego, before the Titans visit on Sunday.
