Last Time Out
After dropping a hotly contested double point, the Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team could not recover in a 5-2 loss to No. 71 Loyola Marymount on Wednesday afternoon at the Titan Tennis Courts.

With the loss, Cal State Fullerton drops to 10-12 in 2013, while the Lions improve to 10-7.

The Fullerton team of Rebekkah Ermac and Megan Sandford defeated Lisa Piller and Adriana Radinovic, 8-1, at the No. 3 spot of the lineup, but the Titans dropped both matches at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, by the score of 9-8.

In singles play, again Ermac and Sandford were the only players in the Titan lineup able to earn victories.

Playing at No. 5 in the lineup, Sandford defeated Radinovic 6-4, 6-0. With the win, Sandford improves to 11-7 in dual match play this season.

Ermac, making just her eighth appearance of the spring, defeated Piller, 6-3, 6-4. With the win, the freshman is now 5-3 in 2013.

The match against the Lions marked the finale in a seven-match homestand that started March 12 vs. George Washington.

Opponents: No. 31 UC Irvine boasts a record of 18-3 and is an undefeated 7-0 in league play as the Anteaters enter their final weekend of regular season action. UC Irvine continues to excel on the court bringing a 16-match winning streak into Tuesday's contest. UCI has five wins against ranked opponents as the Anteaters have downed No. 55 Tulane, No. 33 Pepperdine, No. 46, No. 39 Long Beach State and No. 71 Louisville.

UC Riverside enters Thursday's contest on an eight-match losing streak, as the Highlanders only match this week is at Cal State Fullerton on Thursday.
