FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton returned to Big West action on Saturday, suffering a 6-1 loss to Cal Poly at Mustang Courts in San Luis Obispo.

With the loss, the Titans fall back to .500 at 7-7 overall and 2-2 in the league. Cal Poly improves to 3-10 overall and 1-4 in Big West play.

Fullerton dropped its top five matches in singles play as Tiffany Mai, Morgan McIntosh, Monica Rodriguez, Emilia Borkowski and Kalika Slevcove each suffered defeats.

At the No. 6 spot in the lineup, redshirt sophomore Megan Sandford earned the only Titan point with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Haley Kepler.

The Titans also lost the doubles point, although the team of McIntosh and Slevcove defeated Jen Cornea and Ane McPike, 8-4, at No. 2.

The Titans will pay their fourth match of the week on Sunday at No. 56 UC Santa Barbara.
