Fullerton News & Notes

Cal State Fullerton (6-6, 2-1 Big West) enters the week on a two-match losing streak after finishing the month of February with an undefeated record of 5-0. The five-match win streak was the program's longest since 2007.

Currenlty three Titans possess winning dual match records led by freshman Emilia Borkowski (8-4, 2-1 Big West). In addition, redshirt sophomore Megan Sandford holds a record of 6-3 overall and 2-1 in the Big West, while sophomore Kalika Slevcove (6-4, 2-0 Big West) has also been crucial for Fullerton in 2013.

Last Time Out
Freshman Emilia Borkowski was the only Titan able to muster a win against 51st-ranked Boston College, as the Titans lost 6-1 to the Eagles on Monday afternoon at the Titan Tennis Courts.

Playing at No. 4 in the lineup, Borkowski defeated Katya Vasilyev, 4-6, 7-6 (6), 1-0 (5). The native of La Crescenta, Calif., is now 8-4 in her rookie campaign.

The Titans (6-6, 2-1 Big West), have now lost two in a row after maintaining a five-match win streak in the month of February.

Boston College remains undefeated at 6-0.

Opponents
Stetson (3-3, 0-0 Atlantic Sun) has dropped its last two matches. This is a historic trip for the team as the Hatters have never traveled to California, nor have they played a team from the state. In 2004, San Francisco was on the schedule, but the match was cancelled.

Cal Poly has lost its last five matches, and will host Furman on Wednesday before welcoming the Titans to San Luis Obispo on Saturday. Kathryn Webb (5-4, 3-1 Big West) is the only Mustang with a dual record above .500. She has played at both the No. 4 and No. 5 spots in the lineup.

No. 56 UC Santa Barbara currently rests at sixth in the Big West Conference standings, resting a half game behind Cal State Fullerton. On a three-match win streak, the Gauchos will host Furman (Thursday) and Eastern Michigan (Friday) before the Titans come to town on Sunday.
