FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton recorded its first win of the season by dealing UMKC a 6-1 defeat at Titan Courts on Sunday afternoon.

Fullerton (1-3) won five individual matches and captured the doubles point in Sunday's victory as senior Tiffany Mai led the way by defeating Laura Bouet, 6-3, 6-4, at the top of the singles bracket, and also partnering with Monica Rodriguez for a win at No. 1 in doubles play.

Morgan McIntosh won her second match of the week with a 6-0, 7-6 victory over Eva Dalvai at No. 2 in the singles lineup, and also partnered with Kalika Slevcove to record an 8-1 win in doubles play.

In addition to her doubles win, Rodriguez defeated Suzan Lisenby, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 3 in the lineup, while Slevcove improved 3-1 this spring with a victory over Amelie Amsallem , 7-6, 6-0 at No. 5. Emilia Borkowski rounded out the lineup with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Madeline Schulte at the bottom of the lineup.

The Titans are scheduled to return to action at home on Thursday, hosting Long Beach State in Big West action at Titan Courts.
