CAL STATE FULLERTON

SENIOR (2015-16): Played in three tournaments, posting a 80.77 scoring average on the season... Posted a season-best round of 73 in the second round of the Cougar Cup, finishing the tournament tied for 27th for her best overall finish of the season.

JUNIOR (2014-15): Appeared in five tournaments, playing 14 rounds... Set a new career-best with a 78.78 scoring average and posted a season-best round of 73... Best finish came at the Rose City Collegiate where she finished tied for 29th overall, helping the Titans secure their only team victory of the year.

SOPHOMORE (2013-14): Appeared in a career-high seven tournaments... Finished the season with a 80.48 scoring average... Posted a season-best 2-over 74 in the second round of the Price's "Give 'Em Five" Intercollegiate... Had a 54-hole and career-best 233 (77-78-78) at the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate to finish in a tie for 36th... Finished in 30th place at The Gold Rush, a new career best.

FRESHMAN (2012-13): Appeared in two tournaments on the season at The Gold Rush hosted by Long Beach State on Feb. 11-12 and Cal State Fullerton's Folino Invitational on Feb. 17-19... posted a single-round season-best 76 in the final round of The Gold Rush and a 54-hole best of 253 (87-83-83) at the Folino Invitational to finish in a tie for 56th.

BREA OLINDA HIGH SCHOOL

Dakota Brown was a four-year letterwinner at Brea Olinda High School for Coach Nancy Smith and the Wildcats... earned second-team All-Orange County honors as a senior... won All-Century League recognition four times -- first-team as a sophomore and senior and second-team as a freshman and junior.

PERSONAL

Born on March 5, 1994, in Fullerton... parents are Michael Merrill and Sandra Brown-Merrill... has two younger brothers, Triston and Johnny... kinesiology major whose goal is to own a physical therapy practice... teaching pros are Russ Johnson and Dave Hutchens... career best round was a 76 in a U.S. Open Qualifier on the "Ike" course at Industry Hills... credits her father for the most influence on her golf career: "because he is the one who pushes me to do my best and has always been supportive ever since I began playing golf."
