Bobby Brown Gets MVP Award

April 13, 2007

Fullerton, Calif. - Graduating senior point guard Bobby Brown was presented the Most Valuable Player Award by his teammates Sunday at Cal State Fullerton's post-season men's basketball banquet at the Marriott Hotel.

Brown was a first-team All-Big West Conference selection among many honors and led the team in scoring and assists. Late in the season he became the Titans' all-time leading career scorer and finished with 1,961 points, ninth best in Big West Conference history.

Junior forward Scott Cutley received the Andrew Awad Award for his inspirational play and leadership. The trophy is named after the late former Titan player who played briefly after a bout with cancer, which ultimately proved fatal. Cutley also was a first-team All-Big West pick and led the conference in rebounding.

Sophomore guard Marcus Crenshaw received the most improved trophy. Crenshaw won the Sixth Man Award from the Big West head coaches.
