Marcus Crenshaw more than lived up to his billing as an
explosive scorer with range in his first season with the Titans in
2006-07... Played mostly the shooting guard spot but saw some duty
at point behind or with Bobby Brown and will probably see more
minutes there this season... Good decision-maker...Crowd favorite
for his high-arching shots from the 3-point line and beyond.
CSF IN 2006-07: Was an impact player for the Titans after
sitting out a year as a student at Schoolcraft Community College in
Livonia, Michigan... Started first three games of the season for a
short-handed roster and averaged 18 points and 4.7 assists... Came
off the bench the balance of the season and was chosen "sixth man
of the year" by rival Big West Conference coaches... Averaged 11.4
points for the season and 2.3 assists... Had highs of 23 points vs.
UCSB on Feb. 22 and twice made six 3-point field goals... Led the
Big West Conference with 83 3-point field goals, the third best
single-season total in CSF history.
KENT STATE: Averaged 4.7 points and 1.1 assists while playing
point guard in all 33 games for Kent State in 2004-05... The Golden
Flashes (including current Fullerton teammate Scott Cutley) went
20-13 and gained the post-season NIT.... Marcus shot 36 percent
from the floor and 35 percent (32 of 92) from 3-point range...
Played about 15 minutes per game in a half-court oriented attack...
Highest scoring game was 13-point effort at Ball State... Had 12
points in collegiate debut vs. Binghamton... Had 5 assists vs.
Marshall.
MACKENZIE HIGH SCHOOL: Led the state of Michigan in scoring as a
junior when he averaged 29.4 points per game... Also averaged 7
assists... As a senior he averaged 24 points with a state-best 11
assists per game for Coach Verias Jordan... First-team Class A
all-state selection as a senior and third-team pick as a junior...
Made All-Detroit team three years... Also played one season of
football at wide receiver.
