Fullerton, Calif. - Junior point guard Bobby Brown was selected Most Valuable Player on the 2005-06 Cal State Fullerton men's basketball team and received his award at the team's annual post-season banquet Wednesday night at the Fullerton Marriott Hotel.

Brown led the Titans in scoring, 3-point field goals, steals and assists on his way to first team All-Big West Conference honors. He also was one of only 150 players nationally to earn NABC All-District honors, making the second team of District 15.

Other awards also determined by a vote of the players went to senior guard Jermaine Harper as best defender and to junior forward Justin Burns as most improved. Senior guard Vershan Cottrell received the inaugural Drew Awad Toughness Award, presented in memory of the Titans' guard who succumbed to cancer in December.

Fullerton compiled a 16-13 record in posting consecutive winning seasons for the first time since 1983-84 and 1984-85.
