Dinner with the Titans Information (PDF)

From the Desk of Rick Vanderhook

The annual dinner with the Titans is closely approaching, so I would ask you to mark your calendars for Saturday, Jan. 11 at 6 p.m., for a night out with the 2014 Cal State Fullerton baseball team and many former Titan baseball players at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim. Reservations for the evening start at $100 per adult and $40 for children in eighth grade and younger, while tables can be purchased beginning at $1,000. Be sure to reserve your spot before a night to remember is sold out.

Not only will the night be filled with future Major Leaguers, the 2014 Titans will be signing autographs prior to dinner. There will also be a photo booth, so you can take photos with your favorite Titans as well as live music. The players will be spread throughout the Grand Ball Room to various sponsored tables; enjoying dinner, talking baseball and future goals. The night will also highlight former Major Leaguer and two-time World Series champion Aaron Rowand, who will join us to talk about his love for the game from his days as a Titan through his career with the White Sox, Phillies and Giants. Rowand will inspire and encourage the 2014 Titans as well as the guests in attendance.

Other Titan greats scheduled to appear: Gary Brown, Chad Cordero, Jason Windsor, Brent Mayne, Justin Turner, Christian Colon, and many more! Michael Lorenzen, Carlos Lopez, Chad Wallach, Anthony Hutting and the rest of the 2013 team will be in attendance for their final "Thank You" from Titans Baseball.

We are looking forward to the 2014 season as we return a talented group of student-athletes. The weekend rotation is set to return with National Freshman Pitcher of the Year Thomas Eshelman, All-American Justin Garza, and Grahamm Wiest returning to the mound along with Koby Gauna, Willie Kuhl, Tyler Peitzmeier and first-round Major League Baseball Draft pick, Phil Bickford. The offense will be led by 2013 Collegiate National Team member, Matt Chapman, Cape Cod All-Star Game MVP, J.D. Davis and Academic All-District recipient Austin Diemer.

Fullerton has added 11 newcomers for the 2014 season, after finishing the 2013 season with a record of 51-10 (.836) – the second-best winning percentage in program history. Cal State Fullerton's 2013 recruiting class was ranked 12th in the nation by Baseball America. Coming off its 27th conference title, the Titans received a No. 5 national seed, advancing to the Fullerton Super Regional before losing to eventual College World Series champion UCLA last season. The 2014 season looks bright and we hope you can join us on January 11th for a night you will not forget.

Sincerely
Rick Vanderhook
