SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton was swept by UC Santa Barbara (20-25, 16-25, 20-25) on Friday night. The Titans move to 12-14 overall on the year and 4-11 in conference play.
Tyler Fezzey posted eight kills to go along with a pair of block assists to lead the team. Julia Crawford also posted eight kills in the loss. Makenzi Abelman recorded 23 assists and Savahna Costello notched 10 digs.
The Titans held their own against the Gauchos in the first set posting a .308 hit percentage. However, an early 4-0 scoring run for UCSB would give them a lead that Fullerton could not overcome eventually falling 25-20.

Santa Barbara dominated the second set as the Titans could muster just a .032 hit percentage falling 25-16.
Trying to avoid the sweep, the Titan defense picked it up as UCSB's .132 hit percentage was by far their lowest of the night. Unfortunately, that was not enough as Fullerton would fall victim to the sweep, 25-20.

Cal State Fullerton will close out their season tomorrow night at Cal Poly. First serve is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
