ABILENE, Tex. - Cal State Fullerton swept (25-22, 25-21, 25-19) host Abilene Christian on Thursday night to open up the Wildcat Classic. The victory puts the Titans at 6-1 for the season matching last year's win total and extends the CSF win streak to five-straight matches.

Julia Crawford finished with a match-high 15 kills on a 34.3% hit percentage. Alicia Dennis was not to far behind with 11 kills in the win. Elizabeth Schuster posted her fifth double-double with 33 assists and 15 digs.

The Titans and the Wildcats had a lot back and forth in the first set, but Fullerton won the final three points to break the tie and come out on top.

Fullerton dominated the second set leading by as many as 20-14 before ACU rallied back into it. However, the Titans would shut down Abilene's momentum and come out with a 25-21 victory.

Looking for their third consecutive sweep, the Wildcats jumped out to a 14-11 lead over the Titans, but Fullerton did not let that last going on a 9-2 scoring run forcing a Wildcat timeout. From there, the Titans closed out and took the third set giving them the 25-19 victory.

The victory marks five straight for Cal State Fullerton and their third straight sweep. They have also won 12 consecutive sets since falling behind 0-2 to Chicago State last Thursday.

The Titans will look to stay hot tomorrow as they face North Texas at 1:00 p.m. PT.
