FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton women's volleyball team is set to host an exhibition match against future Big West Conference foe, UC San Diego, on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Titan Gym.
This will serve as the final tune-up for the Titans as they get ready for the 2019 season on Friday, August 30.
The 2019 Titans return a good bulk from the previous season led by senior outside hitter Felicia Marshall. The Utah native led the team last year with 299.5 points totaling 269 kills in her first year with Fullerton.
Along with Marshall, Tyler Fezzey and Haley Carmo return for another year. Fezzey totaled 139 kills as a sophomore while Carmo led the Titans with 69 blocks last year as a freshman.
Fullerton will play their season opener on Friday, August 30 as they take on Eastern Washington at 11:30 a.m. PT as part of the Idaho Volleyball Classic. They will return to the court for a second match that day at 3:30 p.m. PT facing off against Illinois-Chicago.
Overall, the Titans open up their season with 12 straight matches on the road as their entire non-conference schedule takes place outside of Titan Gym.
The home opener will be against the defending Big West champion Cal Poly Mustangs on Friday, September 27 at 7:00 p.m.
