FULLERTON, CA - Cal State Fullerton's Katrina Domela and Gina Le each posted first-round victories on Thursday to lead the Titans' efforts at the 2006 ITA West Regional Tennis Tournament in San Diego, Calif.

Domela posted a straight-set 6-4, 6-1, victory over UC Santa Barbara's Brittany Kausen to advance to the second round against UC Irvine's Brittany Bernhard. Bernhard, seeded No. 19 in the tournament, ended Domela's run, however, with a 6-2, 6-1, victory.

Le also posted a victory in her first round match-up with Arizona's Tina Razloznik, 6-3, 2-6, 6-1, but fell to Monica Weisner, 6-2, 6-1, in the second round.

In other Fullerton first-round match-ups, freshman Jerusha Cruz fell to UCLA's Becky Duesler, 7-5, 6-2. Freshman Brandy Andrews, who earned a first-round bye, fell to San Diego Sate's Esther Cadua, 6-1, 6-1, in the second round.

Sophomore Cheyenne Inglis fell to Cal State Northridge's Silvia Gutierrez, 6-0, 6-1, while sophomore Shelly Injejikian trailed Long Beach State's Emanuelle Tabatruong, 7-6 (15-13), 2-2, before retiring.

Consolation singles play saw all seven Titans defeated.
