FULLERTON, CA - The visiting Cal Poly women's tennis team swept all nine matches on the afternoon to hand host Cal State Fullerton a 7-0 Big West Conference loss on Sunday at the Titan Courts.
Fullerton suffered its seventh consecutive loss in falling to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in Big West Conference play. The Mustangs improved to 3-5 overall and 1-1 in league play with the win.
Cal Poly won all three doubles matches to take the 1-0 lead and continued to roll by sweeping all six singles matches in straight sets. Freshman Erin Wiesener came the closest to taking a set, falling to Steffi Wong, 6-3, 7-6.
Fullerton returns to the court on Feb. 26 as they host Eastern Michigan at 2 p.m.
