FULLERTON, Calif. – The Titans will play their fourth game of the season at home this Saturday at 1pm P.T. against the San Diego State University Aztecs. Note that the game was first scheduled for 12:00pm but was moved to 1:00pm due to rain expected in the morning.
HISTORY
The Titans (2-1) and the Aztecs (3-1) met 21 times before. San Diego State have won 19 of these matches while Fullerton could only win twice.
Since Coach Dianne Matias arrived, the Titans won two matches in the last three years.
The last match played against San Diego State University was last year and the Titans went down 5-2.
TITANS
The Titans own a 2-1 overall record so far this season and just came back from Arizona where they played a pair of matches.
Fullerton first fell against Arizona State University but were able to bounce back and get a 6-1 win against Grand Canyon University.
Jadie Acidera was nominated for Big West Player of the week. Acidera stays undefeated in both singles and doubles since the start of dual matches. She has won her three singles matches at No.6 and also won the only doubles game she played at No.3.
OPPONENT
San Diego State University started the season strong with three 7-0 wins against Sacramento State, UC San Diego and UC Riverside.
The Aztecs are now 3-1 after four matches as they lost 3-4 against Long Beach State last weekend.
SDSU finished last season with a 10-13 overall record.
