ISLA VISTA, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans softball team completed a three game sweep of the UCSB Gauchos softball on Saturday at Campus Diamond.

The Titans move to 31-15 overall and 15-3 in the Big West Conference.

The Titans run-ruled the Gauchos 10-1 in the first game of the doubleheader and won the second game of the doubleheader 7-3.

GAME 1, Cal State Fullerton 10, UC Santa Barbara 1

The Titans had two big offensive innings as the Titans coasted to a 5-inning run rule victory in the first game of the doubleheader against UC Santa Barbara.

The Titans put up a 4-spot in the first inning.  Megan Delgadillo led the inning off with a base hit to left field and Peyton Toto reached right after a bunt was thrown away by the pitcher.  Daisy Munoz had a sac fly that scored Delgadillo.  Jessi Alcala laid down a perfect squeeze bunt that scored Toto.

Hannah Becerra would draw a walk and then Kika Ramirez hit an absolute bomb way over the left center fence that was off the baseball batting cages roof top.

The Titans put up another 4-spot in the third inning.  Jessi Alcala reached on an error and Hannah Becerra was hit by a pitch.  Bailey Wallace sac bunted them over to put both of them in scoring position.  Deshea Hill smacked one to right center that scored Alcala and Becerra.

Alexa Neil would follow her up with a single through the right side that scored Deshea.

Antuanett Dean would then hit one of her hardest balls she has hit all season for a triple to right center that scored Neil.

The Titans would add a run in the 4th and 5th inning of the game.  In the 4th, Jessi Alcala had a double off the LF wall that scored Payton Kelly from first base.

In the fifth inning.  Evelyn Sablan led the inning off with a walk.  Alyssa Hernandez was hit by a pitch and both runners advanced on a passed ball.  Sablan would come around to score on a wild pitch.

The Gauchos would get a consolation run in the 5th inning but that was it for them.

Raci Miranda got the start and picked up the win  She got through 3.2 innings allowing just one hit and fanning four in 40 pitches. Alexia Silvas pitched the last 1.1 innings in relief.

GAME 2, Cal State Fullerton 7, UC Santa Barbara 3

The Titans took an early lead in the game and held on for a 7-3 win to complete the sweep over UCSB.

Megan Delgadillo then chopped one to the pitcher that the pitcher misfielded and scored both Neil and Dean.  Cheese took off for second base to get in a rundown and Dean scored from third on the play and Cheese took second on the play.

She would steal third for her 34th stolen base of the season and ended up scoring on a Peyton Toto sac fly.

The Gauchos would get two runs back in the second inning after taking advantage of two Titan infield errors.

The Titans added another run in the third inning.  Jessi Alcala led the inning off with a walk, advanced to second on a sac bunt by Becerra, and scored on a Kika Ramirez single up the middle.

The Titans would add their final run of the weekend in the sixth inning.  After Deshea Hill led the inning off with a walk, Jasmyn Vigilante came in to pinch run for her.  Alexa Neil had a bunt single.  Megan Delgadillo doubled up the middle that scored Vigilante.  The centerfielder had an error that allowed Vigilante to score and threw the ball away to third base.  Neil tried to score as well but was tagged out at home.

The Gauchos made things a little interesting in the bottom of the 7th after loading the bases on three straight singles with one out.  They scored one run on a fielder's choice.  However, a lineout to 1B ended the game on a double play.

Raci Miranda picked up the win and her third win of the series after starting and going 4 innings, allowing 2 runs (0 earned) on 4 hits and striking out 3. Myka Sutherlin tossed the final three frames allowing one run on four hits.
