GAME 1, Cal State Fullerton 0, UC Davis 2

Two costly unearned runs was all UC Davis needed to take the first game against the Titans on Saturday.

Kenedi Brown twirled 7 shutout frames against the Titans and allowed just two hits and struck out 7.

Myka Sutherlin was the hard luck losing pitcher, allowing just 2 unearned runs in six innings while also giving up 3 hits, 3 walks, and hitting 4 batters.

After loading the bases with two outs in the first inning. Reese Mattley hit a slow grounder back to Sutherlin, but she couldn't field it cleanly which allowed the first run to score for the Aggies.  She walked the next batter to bring in another run which would end up being the only two runs scored in the game.

Hannah Becerra and Megan Delgadillo were the only Titans to pick up hits in the game.

Game 2, Cal State Fullerton 6, UC Davis 3

After being on the edge of defeat against the Aggies in the second game, the Titans had a little luck on their side as a two-out error tied the game up for the Titans in the top of the seventh with two outs and swung momentum towards the Titans.

After the first game had only a combined five hits, the second game was the complete opposite and had a combined 23 hits.

Megan Delgadillo led the team with three hits and 2 RBIs.  Deshea Hill had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Daisy Munoz had the go-ahead hit in the 7th inning and 1 RBI.

Raci Miranda started for the Titans and allowed just two runs (one earned) on 8 hits, 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts.  Alexia Silvas picked up the win after tossing 3.2 innings allowing one run on 4 hits, 1 walk, and 4 strikeouts.  Taylor Fitzgerald took the CG loss for the Aggies.

The Titans started the game with bases loaded after three straight hits but after two groundouts, failed to score a run in the first.

Both sides scored two runs in the second.  Megan Delgadillo chopped a grounder over the first basemen and scored Peyton Toto and Alexa Neil.

The Aggies loaded the bases after a one out error.  And scored two off an RBI single and a sac fly to tie the game at 2-2.

The Aggies took the lead in the bottom of the 6th to make it a 3-2 game.

In the top of the 7th, Alyssa Hernandez led the inning off with a pinch hit single.  Alexa Neil ran for her and advanced to second on a groundout and to third on a passed ball.  With runners on the corners, Kika Ramirez hit a slow chopper to third base that the Aggie third basemen muffed which allowed Neal to score the tying run.

Daisy Munoz singled up the middle in the next at-bat to score Hannah Beccera to make ti a 4-3 game.

Deshea Hill hit a double to left center that brought home two more runs to make it a 6-3 game for the Titans and that was all Silvas needed to close out the game and pick up the win for the Titans.

The Titans go for the series win over the Aggies on Sunday at 12:00 pm.
