IRVINE, Calif. - The Big West Conference announced the fifth Player of the Week honors of the 2022 softball season on Monday. Junior infielder Daisy Munoz was named the Big West Field Player of the Week after her play in the midweek games against Penn/Boston and the split tournament with Long Beach State over the weekend.
Munoz led the team this week with a .667/.737/1.133 triple slash line. She had 10 hits in 15 at-bats, with five of those hits being extra base hits. She also scored 3 runs, had 4 RBIs, and one HR. She also walked four times. She had a hit in 5 of the 6 games played this week. She had three multi-hit games against Nebraska, Sacramento State, and Iowa State. And she had her 100th and 101st career RBI on the 2-run homerun she hit against Iowa State on Saturday.

Munoz has previously won Big West weekly awards in her career as she was named the Big West Freshman of the Week (May 13th, 2019) and was named the Field Player of the Week last season on March 22nd, 2021.
This is the fourth honor for the Titans this season as Peyton Toto was named the Field Player of the Week in the first week. Megan Delgadilo and Myka Sutherlin were named Field Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week in the third week.
The Titans begin Big West Conference play this week as they head to UC Davis this weekend to take on the Aggies.
