FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans softball team split a pair of Tuesday games at Anderson Family Field against the University of Pennsylvania and Boston University.

Game 1 - Cal State Fullerton 8, Penn 0 (5 innings)

The Titans took control of the game from Megan Delgadillo's very first at-bat in the 5-inning win over Pennsylvania.

Delgadillo had a single misplayed by the leftfielder which she came around to score on.

The Titans would add two more runs on RBIs by Jessi Alcala and Evelyn Sablan

Hannah Becerra doubled the advantage to 6-0 in the second after a 3-run bomb.

Delgadillo singled in a run in the third and Alyssa Hernandez would bring home the 8th run in the fourth inning to secure the run-rule win over the Quakers.

Raci Miranda picked up the win after tossing four scoreless frames.  She allowed six hits, one walk, and struck out two.  Staci Chambers tossed a scoreless inning of relief.

Game 2 - Cal State Fullerton 3, Boston 12

The Titans lost in their second game of the evening against Boston University, 12-3.

The Terriers had two big innings where they capitalized on two Titan errors that led to the lopsided victory.

Out of the 12 runs Boston scored in the game, only 5 were earned.

Myka Sutherlin drew the start and allowed four runs (zero earned) on four hits, four walks, and six strikeouts.

Boston took the lead in the fourth inning.  After getting bases loaded, a ground ball was hit to Myka Sutherlin for what should've been the third out.  However she bounced the ball to first which eventually led to four runs scoring.

The Titans responded with three runs in the fifth inning.  Megan Delgadillo once again had a ball to left field misplayed by the defender that scored two runs.

She would come around to score on a Becerra ground out to make it a 6-3 game.

However, Boston poured it on in the 7th inning after scoring 6 runs on 6 hits.  With the last three runs of the inning being unearned.

The Titans host their final pre-conference tournament of the season this weekend in their split tournament with Long Beach State.  The Titans will play hosts to Nebraska, Sacramento State, Central Florida, and Iowa State.
