FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton softball earned a 4-1 win on Sunday morning to secure the three-game series sweep over Boise State. It was very wind at Anderson Family Field, so windy that power was cutting in and out, the Titans took care of business on the field nonetheless. Pitcher Dani Martinez threw five scoreless innings to earn the win while Daisy Munoz hit a two-RBI single and KK Humphreys homered to highlight the offensive production for the Titans.

The Titans scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Megan Delgadillo and Hannah Becerra both walked but there were two outs when Irie Siofele's hard-hit ball to first base caused trouble and drove in Delgadillo. With Siofele on second and Becerra on third, Daisy Munoz singled to drive in both of them and give the Titans the lead.

The Fullerton bats were quiet until the sixth inning when Humphreys launched her third home run of the season. Ellie Zellien recorded a pinch-hit single and Siofele singled as well in the inning but the two runners were left stranded.

Martinez had her best outing of the season as she threw 5.0 innings, allowed just one hit, zero runs, walked one batter and struck out two. Staci Chambers relieved her in the circle and allowed one run in the top of the seventh but that was it. She earned the save with a line of 2.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB and 1 SO.

The Titans return to action on Wednesday for a 2 p.m. PT game at No. 1 UCLA. Then, the team hosts the Judi Garman Classic over the weekend with games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Anderson Family Field. The neutral games will be streamed via FloSports while the Fullerton games will be streamed on both FloSports and BigWest.TV.
