FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton won both legs of their doublehader with a 1-0 upset of No. 24 Texas Tech and a 4-3 victory over Cal. The Titans move to 10-5 on the season with the two wins.
Game one was the definition of a pitchers' dual as the offenses combined for one run and five hits.
Sophie Frost got the start and was dominant going 6.1 innings, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out four. The senior right-hander retired the first 10 Red Raider hitters she faced. Trish Parks would come out of the bullpen and shut the door leaving the bases loaded to pick up her first save of the season.
The lone run of the ballgame came in the first inning as Daisy Munoz drove in Megan Delgadillo after the freshman led off the inning with a triple to right-center.

In game two, the Fullerton offense came out quiet as they could not touch Chloe Romero, who threw six innings allowing four runs (two earned) on eight hits.
Cal got on the board first courtesy of a solo home run from Candace Yingling in the second and then another run in the fourth.
The Titans would answer with a three-spot in the bottom half of the fourth starting with an absolute moonshot by Zoe Richard.

Deshea Hill and Janelle Rodriguez would follow that with singles that brought in two more runs giving the Titans a 3-2 lead.
CSF would get a much needed insurance run on an Irie Siofele RBI single in the bottom of the fifth as Alexa Neil would come around to score.
Cal would rally in the seventh for one run and have runners on second and third when Sam Kennedy made a Sportscenter worthy play deep in the hole at short to end the game.
