FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton will play in six games in four days as part of their hosted Judi Garman Classic. The tournament, in its 15th year, will feature 37 games across two fields highlighted by five Top 25 teams including No. 2 Washington, No. 3 Texas, and No. 4 LSU.
The Titans are coming off a four-game split at the Mary Nutter Classic with losses to Utah and Oregon State, but big wins over Notre Dame and No. 16 Arizona State.
Fullerton's offense is led by senior Zoe Richard and freshman Megan Delgadillo, who rank third and fourth in the Big West in batting average. Richard (.429) also ranks in the league's Top 10 in slugging (.686), RBI (13), and on-base (.469) while Delgadillo (.422) leads the league with 13 stolen bases. The rookie's 13 bags also ranks tied for sixth in the nation and her 1.00 steals per game is tied for fourth. The pitching had a great weekend at the Nutter with the tenth-best ERA (among 29 teams) posting a 2.85 mark. Dani Martinez and Trish Parks are currently a 1-2 punch for the Titans pitching staff, with both posting ERAs under 3.00. Parks' 2.82 currently ranks fifth in the Big West while Martinez's 2.87 is sixth.
The team's defense continues to be its strength posting a .982 fielding percentage thus far, which ranks 10th best in the nation.
