FULLERTON, Calif. - It will be a weekend full of soccer at Titan Stadium as Cal State Fullerton men's and women's soccer are set for doubleheaders on both Friday and Sunday. The women's squad hosts Houston on Friday at 7:30 p.m. PT (or 30 minutes after the men finish) and then host Kansas State on Sunday at 4 p.m. Each of the women's matches and men's matches will be broadcast live here.

Head coach Demian Brown and his squad are 2-2 overall this year and 2-1 at home. Last week, the Titans defeated Northern Colorado 5-0 on Thursday and then fell 2-1 at Utah Valley on Monday afternoon.

Senior midfielder Atlanta Primus is second on the team in goals with two while she is tops on the team and tied for second in the country in total assists with five. Senior forward Maddie Bennett leads the team with three goals, two of which came against Northern Colorado. Junior Haley Brown has a goal and three assists on the year, good for second in the conference and tied for No. 20 in the country. Sophomore Kaya Hawkinson's two assists are third in the Big West. Redshirt freshman Noa Schumacher has recorded two shutouts on the year as the goalkeeper for the Titans.

Houston is 2-2 on the year and lost 2-1 in the last time out at home against CSUN. Reid Morrison is leading the team in goals with two while the team has scored four on the year.

Kansas State is 1-2-1 on the year and picked up its first win of the season at home against South Dakota State. Katie Cramer is tops on the team with two goals.

Brown talked about the squad in-depth in this video here, breaking down the team by position group and talking about the non-conference schedule. Brown has won over 100 matches in his 12 years as head coach. He has steered the Titans to four Big West regular season championships (2007, 2012, 2014, 2015) and five Big West Tournament championships (2007, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017) representing the league as the Big West's automatic qualifier at the NCAA Tournament for four of the last six years (2013, 2014, 2015, 2017) in addition to the Titans' postseason trip in 2007.

Primus was selected as one of 11 student-athletes to be a Preseason All-Big West honoree. It is her second straight year earning the preseason accolade. As a junior, Primus was 2018 All-Conference First Team selection as she started all 18 games she played in. She scored a team-high six goals and led the team in points scored with 15 as she also dished out three assists.

The Big West Conference also announced that Titans were picked fourth in the preseason coaches poll

Along with a strong crop of newcomers, the Titans also welcome back Alba Barrios and Jessica Simonian from injuries that forced them to miss the entire 2018 season. You can read more about Barrios and her journey here.
