GERMANTOWN, Tenn. – Senior Martina Edberg recorded her third victory in four tournaments this fall as she earned medalist honors at the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate Tuesday hosted by the University of Memphis at the Ridgeway Country Club in Germantown, Tenn.

Edberg logged the seventh victory of her illustrious Titan career after posting a 2-under 211. She was the only golfer to score under par for the 36 holes, posting a 1-under 70 on Tuesday to clinch the individual title. To date, Edberg has recorded just two rounds over par this season including a 1-over 72 in round two of the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate on Monday. She currently holds a 70.33 scoring average through four tournaments, the first Titans golfer to ever hold a scoring average under par through the fall portion of a season. She's recorded 41 rounds of par or better in her career and is the first Big West golfer to win three tournaments in a season since Jane Chin of UC Irvine claimed three straight titles in 2008.

"This will go down as the best single season of play by an individual at Fullerton," said head coach Pearl Sinn-Bonanni. "It's just too bad we can't finish out the rest of the season's tournaments right now."

The Glumslov, Sweden native finished seven strokes ahead of Camila Serrano of FIU and nine strokes ahead of third-place Michaela Fletcher of Memphis in Fullerton's last tournament of the fall schedule. Edberg led the field in scoring on par-5's, posting a 4.50 stroke average and a 6-under overall score for the tournament including her first eagle of the season on the 485-yard No. 7, the only eagle recorded at the tournament. Edberg also led the field with 12 birdies overall.

As for the Titans, the team finished tied for sixth overall in the 13-team field after posting a 70-over 922. The Titans carded a 19-over 307 on Tuesday; the fourth best team score of round three. Memphis claimed the overall team title with a 43-over 895. The Tigers held a one-stroke lead over Houston Baptist going into round three but ballooned that gap to 16 strokes by the end of the final round. Murray State (913), FIU (915) and Chattanooga (921) rounded out the top five while Tennessee Tech tied with Fullerton for sixth.

Freshman Elsa Lundquist finished two strokes shy of her personal best as she carded a 24-over 237 at the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate. She was tied for 44th place while teammate Pauline Welker finished two strokes behind her at 239, which tied for 49th place. Felicia Medalla rounded out the team scoring as she finished with a 242 to tie for 57th place. Daniella Uy wrapped up the tournament with a 246 and tied for 70th place.

The Titans will now take a break before returning to the links in the spring with the Battle at the Rock tournament on Feb. 13-14 at Oak Quarry Golf Course in Riverside, Calif. The Titans will play five more tournaments in the spring before heading to the Big West Championships hosted by UC Riverside at Oak Quarry Golf Course.

At the end of the spring, Edberg leads the way with her 70.33 scoring average including a record-setting 10-under par 206 finish at the WSU Cougar Cup.

Brittany Farrell finishes the fall with a 74.83 scoring average in two tournaments while Uy holds a 77.16 scoring average, playing in all four fall tournaments. Welker's 76.92 scoring average ranks third on the team while Lundquist upped her scoring average to an even 79.00 after this week's result.
