Titans Wrap Up Fall Season at Memphis Women’s Intercollegiate

History at Memphis Women's Intercollegiate: First appearance

Cal State Fullerton plays its final tournament of the fall season as the Titans head to the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Memphis.

THE COURSE: The tournament will be held at Ridgeway Country Club, Memphis' home course. It will play as a par-71 and at 6,105 yards.

THE FIELD: The Memphis Women's Intercollegiate will feature 13 teams including Cal State Fullerton, Houston Baptist, Murray State, South Alabama, Western Kentucky, Samford, Memphis, Florida International, IUPUI, Missouri State, Tennessee Tech, UAB and Chattanooga.

IN THE RANKINGS: Cal State Fullerton goes into the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate ranked No. 89 in the country according to this week's GolfWeek/Sagarin rankings. In addition, Martina Edberg is ranked No. 49 in the nation in the individual rankings. The rest of the field stacks up in the following: Houston Baptist (No. 158), Murray State (No. 71), South Alabama (No. 195), Western Kentucky (No. 103), Samford (No. 130), Memphis (No. 116), Florida International (No. 85), IUPUI (No. 211), Missouri State (No. 180), Tennessee Tech (No. 152), UAB (No. 125) and Chattanooga (No. 38).

LAST TIME OUT: The Titans finished sixth overall at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational on Oct 10-11 while Martina Edberg just missed out on her third straight win to start the season, finishing third with a 1-under 215.

IN THE RED: Edberg has posted two wins and a third-place finish in Fullerton's first three tournaments this season. She leads the team with a 70.33 scoring average, the first time any Titans golfer has held a scoring average under par after the team's first three tournaments. She posted eight straight rounds under par before recording a 1-over 73 in the third round of last week's Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational.

TAP-INS:

- Daniella Uy had her best showing of the season in the third round of the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, setting a new single-round best with a 3-under 69. She went on to finish with a 7-over 223 and tied for 12th place, her best finish of the season. 

- Freshman Elsa Lundquist finished last week with a 15-over 231, her best score of the season. She also tied her career best with a 1-over 73 in the third round.

- The Titans have posted a 296.67 scoring average so far this season.
