Titans Move Up A Spot After Second Round at Farms Invitaional

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton currently sits in 14th place after the conclusion of the second round Tuesday at the Farms Invitational hosted by San Diego State at the Farms Golf Course in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.

 

The Titans have shot a collective 49-over par after shooting a 23-over 311 in the second round, a three-shot improvement from their opening round performance. The Titans leapfrogged Oregon to jump into 14th place and trail 13th-place UC Irvine by one stroke. They are 15 strokes away from the top-10 and trail day-two leader UCLA by 54 shots.

 

Tisha Alyn Abrea remains the individual leader for the Titans despite a tough second round that saw her shoot a 6-over 78, placing her in 41st overall with a 8-over 152 after 36 holes.

 

Freshman Martina Edberg shot a 5-over 77 on day two, a one shot improvement from her opening round performance and currently sits in 48th place with an 11-over 155 through two rounds.

 

Makayla Mier had the best individual performance for the Titans on day two as she shot a 4-over 76 on Tuesday, a seven shot improvement from her opening round performance. Mier is tied for 65th overall with a 15-over 159 through 36 holes.

 

Dakota Brown is one of the players tied with Mier for 65th after shooting an 8-over 80 in the second round. Brown sits at 159 after 36 holes.

 

Nadine Rivera also showed improvement from her opening round performance as she shot an 87 on Tuesday, four shots better than her first round score. Rivera sits in 91st with a 34-over 178 through 36 holes.

 

The Titans and the 16 other teams competing at the Farms Invitational will return to the links Wednesday for the final round of the event, with players scheduled to tee off at 8 a.m.
