CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. -- Cal State Fullerton senior Neomi Hunt and sophomore Seri Lee each shot second-round 75's on Monday and the host Titans finished with the third-lowest team total of the day to take over third place after 36 holes at the 2013 Folino Invitational Presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California at the Industry Hills Golf Club.

Like their counterparts on the men's side, Fullerton finished 10 shots better than Sunday's first round, firing a 305 on Monday and finishing at 52-over par overall to move to within five shots of second-place UC Riverside (+47) and 13 shots back of defending champion Gonzaga (+39). Portland State's A Ram Choi is the individual leader after 36 holes, finishing with a 1-over-par 72 on Monday and pace the field at 5-over for the tournament -- one shot ahead of Gonzaga's Raychelle Santos in second place.

The tournament's first-round leader, Titans senior Kristen Aiu, finished with a 6-over-par 77 to fall into a three-way tie for fifth at 8-over, but she was picked up by teammates Lee and Hunt, who made the biggest leaps in the standings of the day for Fullerton. Lee's 75 moved her to 10-over and into a tie for eighth place while Hunt jumped up 16 spots into a tie for 16th at 13-over for the tournament. 

Sophomore Makayla Mier was steady with a second-round 77, moving her up one spot into a tie for 10th at 11-over par to complete the group of four Titans in the top 20. Senior Deidre Crabtree was four strokes better than her first round, finishing with a 78 to finish 10 spots better in a tie for 29th at 18-over par. Sophomore Tisha Alyn Abrea slipped into a tie for 48th at 23-over.

Other Fullerton finishers included freshman Dakota Brown (+28, 170) in a tie for 58th, senior Nicole Rivera (+30, 172) in a tie for 62nd, and freshman Nadine Rivera (+35, 177) in 67th.
