Men Open Big West Play at Cal Poly

Oct. 1, 2008

San Luis Obispo, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton takes some momentum into its Big West Conference opener at Cal Poly on Wednesday night after an impressive road victory over Bradley in Peoria, Illinois, on Saturday.

Fullerton finally was rewarded for outshooting its foe as Mario Alvarez and Celso Alvarez both found the net in the second half for a 2-1 come-from-behind win over the Braves, who had not allowed more than one goal in a match all season (4-3-1).

Cal Poly is 5-2-2 this year and swept the Titans last season, 1-0 in Fullerton and 3-1 in San Luis Obispo in the season finale.

The two teams will face off against each other again in 10 days when the Mustangs visit Titan Stadium on Oct. 11.
