FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer takes its undefeated record on the road as they travel to the East Coast to face No. 16 James Madison Wednesday and defending National Champions, Maryland on Saturday.

The Titans head into this week matchup with a record of 8-1-1 and are ranked No. 14 in the country by United Soccer Coaches, No. 17 by Top Drawer Soccer, No. 12 by Soccer America and No. 12 College Soccer News.

Not only has the team earned national recognition this season, but several individuals have garnered the same respect. Christian Pinzon was named Top Drawer Soccer's National Player of the Week earlier this season for his strong performances against Air Force and FGCU. Pinzon leads the team with 17 points this season, ranking tied for eighth in the country and is third in the Big West Conference. The junior has five goals and seven assists through nine games. His seven assists ranks second in the conference and tied for second in the country.

Following his outstanding performance this past week against Cal Baptist and his game-tying goal in the 83rd minute against No. 24 LMU, Clayton Torr has been named to Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week.

Torr, a first year transfer from Taft College, has helped anchor a backline that has given up just six goals in nine games this season, including four shutouts. The Titans six goals allowed this season is tied for the fewest in the Big West Conference.

In addition to his impressive defense, Torr scored his first Division I goal this past weekend against No. 24 LMU in the 83rd minute while the Titans were down a man to push the game to overtime and help earn the Titans a 1-1 draw. With the late comeback goal the Titans remained undefeated with a record of 8-0-1.

For the second time this season Paul-Andre Guerin was named Big West Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Guerin helped lead the Titans to a 1-0 shutout victory over Cal Baptist where he had four saves before coming up with 10 saves in Fullerton's dramatic 1-1 draw against No. 24 LMU.

The senior goalkeeper leads the league with an .854 save percentage and has a total of four shutouts and 35 saves this season. Guerin has 19 shutouts in his career which is tied for the most in this history of the program alongside Mike Ammann.

Fullerton faces James Madison for just the second time in the history of the programs, after playing to a 1-1 draw last year at Titan Stadium. James Madison is 7-2 this season and are 5-0 at home, including a win over former No. 1 ranked Wake Forest.

Following their matchup with James Madison, the Titans head north to Maryland to face the defending national champions. The Terrapins are 4-3-1 this season and recently fell out of the top-25 rankings. The two teams have only met one time in past seasons which came in 2005 at Titan Stadium where Maryland won 7-0.
