FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer returns to the pitch Friday against Air Force at 7:00 p.m. before hosting No. 14  Florida Gulf Coast Sunday night at 5:00 p.m. PT.

The Titans head into the weekend with a 4-0 record, the team's best start to a season since 2000 under legendary head coach, Al Mistri. Fullerton's strong start to the season and wins last weekend against previously ranked No. 18 Loyola Chicago and Utah Valley has ascended the team into the top 25 rankings. The Titans are ranked No. 22 in the country by Top Drawer Soccer and No. 23 by United Soccer Coaches.

Fullerton was also recognized by the Big West Conference for its performance this past weekend as Christian Pinzon was named Offensive player of the week and Sebastian Cruz earned Freshman of the Week.

The Titans are off to a great start on both sides of the ball, scoring eight goals through four games while allowing just two. Defensively, the Titans have recorded two clean sheets this year, giving Paul-Andre Guerin 17 for his career which ranks tied for second in the history of the program. Guerin needs just three more shutouts to hold the all-time record.

Offensively the Titans are among the countries best as they rank rank tied for sixth in the country with 12 assists on the year while Pinzon is tied for 11th individually with three. Fullerton's eight goals this season ranks it tied for 25th in the country for most goals scored.

CSF faces tough tests this weekend in Air Force who was ranked prior to last weekend when it suffered losses to fellow Big West opponents Sacramento State and UC Davis. Air Force comes to Titan Stadium with an overall record of 1-2, winning its only match of the season over Army. Fullerton is 4-2-1 all-time against Air Force with the last game being in 2012 when the Titans won 2-0 at Titan Stadium.

On Sunday night the Titans go head-to-head with the No. 14 ranked team in the country, Florida Gulf Coast. FGCU comes to California with an undefeated record of 3-0-1 with wins over No. 18 Michigan, Seton Hall and Georgia Southern with a draw against previously ranked Michigan State.
