Men Golfers Place 12th

Victoria, Texas - Dakota Duerr's 5-over par 77 was the best individual score for Cal State Fullerton Tuesday as the Titans finished in 12th place in the Jim West Intercollegiate Men's Golf Tournament at Victoria Country Club.

The Titans' final round score of 308 (20 over) was their second best of the tourney and left them with a final total of 921 strokes (57 over). Louisiana Tech took team honors with a 1-under-par 863 to beat runnerup Southeastern Louisiana (871) by 8 strokes. Individual honors went to Southeastern's Philipp Westermann at 7-under 209.

The final round and total scores for the Titans: Mark Anguiano (79, 228); Duerr (76, 229); Scott Rubzin (78, 234); Corey Gard (77, 235); and Nick Ellis (77, 236).

Fullerton's only remaining competition this season is the Big West Conference Championship the first weekend in May at Mission Viejo Country Club.
