FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton men's golf team is back in action on Monday and Tuesday competing in the 20th Del Walker Intercollegiate hosted by Long Beach State at Virginia Country Club.
THE COURSE: The two-day event will be contested at the Virginia Country Club, playing at 6,562 yards at par 70 for the 54-hole event. Play begins at 8:30 a.m. for the first and second round on Monday and will conclude Tuesday for the final 18 holes at 8 a.m.
THE FIELD: Competing alongside the Titans and Long Beach State will be Cal Poly, CSUN, Loyola Marymount, Pacific, Redlands, Southern Utah, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara and Wichita State.

LAST TIME OUT ON THE LINKS: Samford held on to win the team championship at the sixth-annual Folino Invitational Presented by Microsemi Corporation, while Long Beach State's Daniel Chian claimed the individual title following the third and final round of play at Industry Hills Golf Club on Feb. 16.
The Titans were disqualified on day one of the tournament after recording two incorrect scorecards, but were able to play the third round shooting a team total of 298.
Samford shot a third-round score of 296 to stay in the lead, finishing the tournament at 10-over-par 874. The Bulldogs were followed by Long Beach State (886, +22), UC Riverside (891, +27), UC Santa Barbara (892, +28), and Utah Valley (908, +44).
Cal State Fullerton's Matt Murphy recorded the best finish of his career shooting at par (72) for the third round to complete the tournament at 2-over-par 218, good for third place. Murphy's third-place finish was the best for the Titans during the 2015-16 season, and the best for a CSF player at the Folino Invitational since Mark Anguiano won the event in 2014.
Junior Martin Manalo also carded the best finish of his Titan career, tying for 12th overall with a final score of 222 (+6), following an even par score of 72 in third round.

• Fullerton's third-place finish at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate in Pullman, Wash., was the best for the program since winning the Big West Championship on April 29, 2014.
• Redshirt senior Mark Jensma was the top Titan finisher, as his total score of 209 (-4) tied for ninth at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate. For Jensma, the ninth place finish was the best in his Titan career and the second time he has finished in the top-10. In addition, his second round score of 68 and his total score 209 set career bests.
• Freshman Jack Ireland led the Titans with a 15th place finish at the Southern Dunes Collegiate Invitational on Oct. 4. He was the first freshman to lead Cal State Fullerton since Mark Cobey finished as the top Titan – in 41st place overall – at the Sacramento State Intercollegiate on Mar. 10, 2015.

SEASON SCHEDULE
Cal State Fullerton's 2015-16 campaign features 10 tournaments before the Big West Championship and NCAA Regionals. The Folino Invitational Presented by Microsemi Corporation will again highlight the Titans' season as the sixth-annual tournament has become one of the premier collegiate golf destinations and will be hosted at Industry Hills Golf Club in City of Industry, Calif., on Feb. 15-16. Fullerton will also hit the links outside the state of California, visiting Washington and Arizona twice.
