AS A SENIOR • 2014
A 2014 Big West Conference First Team selection...competed in all 12 events for the Titans during the season, totaling eight top-20 finishes and four top-10 finishes with a scoring average of 72.69…participated in the golf program's first NCAA Regionals appearance since it was reinstated in 2009-10, carding a 53rd-place finish (82-75-80--237, +21)...his best finish of the year came at the Bill Cullum Invitational (Oct. 21-22), completing three rounds of play at six-under-par 210 (71-69-70), good enough for fifth place…also finished tied for fifth at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate (Sept. 9-10), shooting 207 at three-under-par – the best three-round score of his career…and tied for ninth at the Folino Invitational (Feb. 17-18) with a score of 223 (+7)…his score of four-under-par 66 in the first round of the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate also marked a career best…tied for ninth at the Big West Championships (April 27-29) with a score of even par at 144 after two rounds. The final round was canceled due to strong winds.

SUMMER • 2013
Won the 2013 Industry Hills City Amateur Championship at the Industry Hills Golf Club in July...shot a 36-hole total of 139 over the tournament, finishing two strokes ahead of runner-up and fellow Titan teammate Mark Anguiano...finished tied for 24th (216) at the Memorial Amateur Championship in Carmichael, Calif., on May 26-28...also competed in the Southern California Golf Association Championship and qualified for match play at the Pacific Northwest Golf Association in Bandon, Ore.

AS A JUNIOR • 2013
Quickly established himself as key member of the team...named All-Big West Honorable Mention...finished tied for first at the Big West Championships in San Jacinto, Calif., on April 28-30 after posting an overall score of 217 (+1)...contributed a 73.18 scoring average in 33 rounds...helped lead the team to a second-place finish at the Firestone Grill Invitational in San Luis Obispo, Calif., by shooting a four-over-par to tie for seventh place, including a career-best of 68 during the first round...best performance came at the Del Walker Intercollegiate in Long Beach, Calif., when he shot 2-over-par (213) to tie for 13th place...one of his best performances came during the fall season at the Bill Cullum Invitational in Simi Valley, Calif., when he shot a three-under-par (213) to tie for fifth place. 

AS A SOPHOMORE • 2012
Had the third best season’s scoring average for the Titans at 73.90 with 2,143 strokes over 29 rounds…his best finish was a tie for fourth at the Folino Invitational at Industry Hills on Feb. 19-21 with a 2-over 218 for three rounds… placed tenth at Monarch Dunes in October with the same score, 5-over…had one sub-70 round – a 4-under-par 68 on the final round at Victoria Country Club in Texas…was the most consistent Titan in first-round play with all scores between 71 and 76 in 10 events.

AS A FRESHMAN • 2011
Played in all but one event for the Titans in 2010-11...took 2,200 strokes over 29 rounds for an average of 75.86... best finish was a tie for seventh place at the Firestone Grill Invitational in Nipomo in October with a 4-over-par 217 (70-78-69) with the last round his season’s best..tied for 15th at Southern Utah in February with a one-over-par 145 over 36 holes.

HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Villa Park High School with a 3.8 gpa...was a member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL
Born in Long Beach, Calif... parents are Steve and Debbie Gard...has an older brother, Derek...business administration major with an emphasis on accounting...prior to CSF played competitively for only three years yet boasted five top 25 tournament finishes...placed in the top 25 in the U.S. Amateur Qualifier in July of 2010... placed in the Top 20 at the L.A. City Open in early August of 2010...placed in the top 25 at three AJGA Events in 2009: Mission Hills in late June, Oak Valley in late July and Emerson in late August...enjoys many sports -- soccer, basketball, riding dirt bikes, wake boarding and snow boarding.
