LONG BEACH, Calif.- The Cal State Fullerton men's golf team finished fourth at the Del Walker Intercollegiate Classic at the Virginia Country Club in Long Beach, Calif. on Tuesday.

The Titans shot 849 (+9) over two days of play, including a score of 281 (+1) on Tuesday afternoon. The Titans entered the day in the fourth place after shooting a 284 in round one and round two on Monday.

Currently ranked 107th in the country by Golfweek, Long Beach State walked away with the victory after finishing the tournament with a score of 838 (-2). The host 49ers final round of golf on Tuesday was a score of 274 (-6). Long Beach State was followed by Pacific (841, +1) and Loyola Marymount (847, +7), to round out the top three.

The tournament hosted by Long Beach State featured three teams ranked in the top 100, University North Carolina Wilmington, Pacific, and Cal State Fullerton.

With a total score of 203 at 7-under par, Loyola Marymount's Tyler Torano finished at the top of the individual standings one spot ahead of Cal State Fullerton golfer Dakota Duerr. Duerr finished tied for second place three-under par overall and shot a 68 on Tuesday to lead the Titans.Enterting the day in fifth place, Duerr shot back to back rounds of 68 to end the tournament. The Murrieta, Calif., native  shot a one-over par in the first round, but shot a two-under par in round two.

Cal State Fullerton's Michael Choe, who is competing as an individual, finished in 18th place after shooting a 78 in round three. Choe finished 5-over par (215). Choe entered the day in third place after shooting a one-under par (69) in round one and a 2-under par (68) in round two.

Fullerton sophomore Ryan Tetrault finished in ninth place with an overall score of 212 (+2) after ending Tuesday with a round of 70. Junior Corey Gard (213, +3) ended the tournament tied for 13th place after recording a score of 73 (+3) on Tuesday.

Mark Anguiano shot a 71 on Tuesday and ended the tournament with a score of 220 (+10) tied for 29th place in the standings. Josh Park, who also competed as an individual, finished the tournament with a score of 220 to also tie for 29th place. Mark Jensma finished 32nd with final overall score of 221.

The Titans will be on a bye next weekend, but then head off to Sacramento, Calif. to play in the Sacramento State Collegiate at Valley Hi Country Club on March 11-12.
