CAL STATE FULLERTON CAREER

CSF '12-13: Duerr was a key producer for the Titans competing in all 11 tournaments this season...Named the 2012-13 Cal State Fullerton Male Scholar Athlete and to the 2013 All Big West First Team...Duerr finished as the best Fullerton golfer in five of the 11 tournaments this season...had a 73.09 scoring average, which ranked second for the Titans...tied for second after shooting a 3-under-par 207 at the Del Walker Intercollegiate in Long Beach, Calif. on Feb. 25-26, 2013...led the team to a fourth place finish at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate tournament in Pullman, Wash., Duerr shot a four-over-par (220) to finish tied for fourth place. Duerr also posted a career high during the fall season during the Firestone Grill Invitational in San Luis Obispo, Calif. where he shot a career-best 66 in the second round...finished tied for 25th at the Big West Championships on April 28-30, 2013 after posting a score of 229 (+13).

SUMMER 2012:  Dakota Duerr qualified for the 112th U. S. Amateur Championships held in August at Cherry Hills Country Club in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado… he was co-champion of the July 23 Mission Viejo Qualifying Tournament, scoring 145 over 36 holes.

CSF ’11-12:  Duerr tied for 16th place at the Big West Conference Championships with a 3-round score of 219… his best tourney finish was a tie for fourth at the Folino Invitational at Industry Hills on Feb. 19-21 with a score of 2-over 218… he was tenth at the UCR Braveheart Tournament at Oak Valley in Beaumont in April with a 2-under 214… his season’s average over all 11 events was 73.50 strokes (total of 2,352), second best on the team to Mark Anguiano’s 72.59… Dakota had two sub-70 rounds –- a 3-under 68 on the final round at Shady Canyon on Apr. 24 and a 3-under 69 on the final day of the Big West Tourney at PGA West in La Quinta… he earned Big West Conference All-Academic recognition.
 
CSF '10-11: Duerr was the only Titan to play in all 11 events in 2010-11...he earned Big West Conference All-Academic recognition for spring sports... he totaled 2,406 strokes for a team-best average of 75.19... twice tied for seventh place -- in mid-February at the Southern Utah Invitational (71-72 -- 143) at one under par and at the Folino Invitational (71-72-74 -- 217) at 4 over in late March... had a pair of sub-70 rounds with a 68 at the Anteater Invitational in early February and a 69 in Santa Barbara in March.
 
CSF '09-10: Dakota played 20 rounds in 7 tournaments in 2009-10... he had fourth-best stroke total on team at 1,518 (75.9 average)... best finish was a sixth-place showing at the Cal State Bakersfield Spring Invitational on March 22-23 with a 2-over score of 218... tied for 32nd place (second best Titan) at the Big West Conference Championship in 2010 with an 18-over score of 234.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Duerr was a three-year varsity letterman at Murrieta Valley High School for Coach Greg Ireland... averaged 72 strokes as a senior... won captains award and spirit of sport award... was champion of the Pahr Invitational at seven under par.... as a junior was an all-league selection... was on the league championship team and won the CIF Southern Section individual championship...  won team's most outstanding golfer award... as a sophomore was on a league championship team... earned academic honors as a senior... shot a hole-in-one at age 12 with a 3-wood on a 210-yard hole.
 
PERSONAL: Born in Long Beach, CA… parents  are Tim and Theresa Duerr... teaching pro is John Wallace... played in the 2008 California State Open and won four junior tournaments with seven top-10 finishes... shot career-best round of 67 at Mission Hills… criminal justice major… credits parents for most influence on golf career: “because of their support.”
