CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. -- Cal State Fullerton sophomore Ryan Tetrault fired a tournament single-round record and career-low 66 on Monday, helping the host Titans improve 10 strokes and move into third place after 36 holes at the 2013 Folino Invitational Presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California at the Industry Hills Golf Club.

Tetrault's 6-under total on Monday missed matching the school single-round record by one shot (65 by John San Juan at the Del Walker Invitational in 2009) and would have tied the Industry Hills Golf Club course record, but one of the tournament's 18 holes was not played from the championship tees. His mark bested the previous tournament record of 68 previously held by four different players and is tied for the lowest by a Titan this season -- a 66 by Dakota Duerr in the second round of the Firestone Grill Invitational on Oct. 8, 2012.

The Villa Park, Calif., native jumped up 28 spots to finish the day tied for fifth place at even-par for the tournament, nearly 24 hours after a first-round 78 put him tied for 34th after 18 holes.

Four Fullerton players finished in the top 10, and six in the top 25, as the Titans finished at even par for the day with a 288 -- just four shots off the single-round tournament record of 284 set by Cal Poly and UC Irvine in 2011. Cal State Fullerton is nine shots off the lead of UC Irvine, which fired a 1-under-par 287 to stand at 1-over for the tournament, and three shots back of Long Beach State in second place after the 49ers shot a 1-over-par 289 on Monday.

Sacramento State's Ryan Williams finished with a 2-under-par 70 for the second round and is the individual, 36-hole leader with a 5-under-par 139.

Senior Dakota Duerr, who held a share of third-place after day one, shot a second-round 74 to fall into a tie for seventh at 1-over par for the tournament while redshirt freshman Mark Jensma, who was also tied for third at the end of Sunday, was 3-over on Monday to fall into a tie for ninth place with teammate Mark Anguiano, who was 2-over in the second round after an even-par performance on Sunday. 

Junior Josh Park, competing as an individual, moved up three spots to 18th after 36 holes, firing a second-round 74 to stand at 6-over-par for the tournament. Junior Corey Gard also made a run on Monday, finishing at 2-over for the round -- including birdies on the final three holes -- and moving up 12 spots to 22nd at 8-over-par overall.

Freshman Michael Choe fell five spots after a second-round 78 to a tie for 31st at 11-over-par while senior Darren Saqui is in 49th at 18-over-par for the two rounds.
