Cal State Fullerton junior point guard Bobby Brown today was selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Div. I All-District 11 second team. He and the other 149 players on the 15 all-district teams are now eligible for the NABC Div. I All-American teams to be announced at the end of the season.
The first team from Div. 11 consists of UCLA's Jordan Farmar and Aaron Afflalo, USC's Gabe Pruitt and Nick Young and Arizona's Hassan Adams. Joining Brown on the second team are Louis Amundson of UNLV, Kevin Kruger of Arizona State, Matthew Knight of Loyola Marymount and Nick Lewis of the University of San Diego.
No other Big West Conference players were honored on the teams, which are selected and voted upon by member coaches.
Brown is second in the Big West in scoring at 17.1 points per game and second in assists at 3.86 per game. He also is tied for first in steals at 1.55 per game and ranks No. 4 in 3-point field goals made per game at 2.36 despite a recent shooting slump.
Fullerton hosts Eastern Washington Saturday at 2:05 p.m.
