GREENVILLE, S.C. – Cal State Fullerton men's basketball is set to face No. 9 Duke in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday night at 4:10 p.m. PT at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
The Titans head into the tournament as the No. 15 seed in the West Region of the NCAA Tournament while Duke comes in as the No. 2 seed in the West Region. Overall, Duke is the No. 8 seed in the tournament while the Titans are the No. 62 seed. The Titans look to upset top-ranked Duke and end Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski's legendary career.
After defeating Long Beach State in the Big West Tournament Championship, Head Coach Dedrique Taylor is now the most accomplished coach in Cal State Fullerton men's basketball history.
Taylor is the first coach in program history to lead the Titans to the NCAA Tournament on two separate occasions. Furthermore, he is the first coach to have two 20+ win seasons and is the first coach to have 10+ conference wins in four different seasons.
