FULLERTON, Calif. – The journey back to dominance for Cal State Fullerton began Friday afternoon as the team held its first official practice of the 2020 season.

The 35-man roster competed for the first time as a team in 2020 under the instruction of Head Coach Rick Vanderhook and the coaching staff on Friday. The group took batting practice, competed in fielding drills while ending the session with a full nine-inning scrimmage.

"I really like the way our guys competed today," Vanderhook said. "We have a lot of things we have to get better at but I like the direction this team is going in."

Fullerton will compete in its first game as team Saturday, Jan. 25 at 1:30 p.m. at Goodwin Field in the annual alumni game against over 30 former Titans. Admission to the game is FREE.

The current Titans look to come out strong and get a win over the alumni which is never easy considering the talent that comes back to Goodwin Field to play each and every year. The Titans have only lost twice in 13 games, however, both of those years Fullerton ended up reaching it to the College World Series.
