FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton (12-13, 1-2) heads north to San Luis Obispo for a three-game conference series against Cal Poly beginning Friday night. Saturday's contest will be aired on ESPNU with first pitch at 8:00 p.m. PT.

The Titans look to bounce back and win their first Big West Conference series of the season after dropping the opening series to UC Santa Barbara last weekend at Goodwin Field.

Cal Poly (12-14, 3-0) is the current leader in the Big West after sweeping CSUN last weekend in San Luis Obispo. The Mustangs played a midweek game against Santa Clara on Tuesday where they fell 7-6 in 10 innings.

Fullerton swept Cal Poly in 2018 with the season series played at Goodwin Field. The Titans outscored the Mustangs 16-8 over the three games. The Titans lead the all-time matchup over Cal Poly with a record of 61-21 and are 23-16 all-time at Baggett Stadium.

Tanner Bibee looks to be the Titans probable starter for Friday night as he has been all season. Bibee is 3-4 on the season with a 3.47 ERA in 46.2 innings pitched. Kyle Luckham eyes his third Saturday start of the season, coming into the weekend with a 3-2 record and a 5.28 ERA.

Fullerton will then hand the ball over to Michael Knorr to close out the weekend on Sunday. Knorr is 2-2 this season with a 5.71 ERA in seven starts this season. The Titans are 5-2 this season when Knorr starts on the mound.

Mitchell Berryhill heads into the weekend on a 33 game on-base streak dating back to last season. Berryhill leads the team with a .384 batting average which is third in the Big West Conference.

Isaiah Garcia has made a great impact on the team in his first season after transferring from Sierra College. Garcia is second on the team with a .377 batting average which ranks fourth in the Big West.

Garcia is on a nine game hitting streak along with an 18 game on-base streak. The junior is tied for second on the team with two home runs on the year after hitting a solo shot last Sunday against UCSB.

Fullerton hit three home runs Sunday against the Gauchos at Goodwin Field. It is the first time the Titans have hit three home runs in a single game since Scott Hurst hit four against CSUN in 2017. Fullerton has nine home runs through 25 games, in 2018 the Titans had 14 throughout the whole season with 11 of them coming in the regular season.

Cal Poly's probable starters for the weekend look to be Jarred Zill, Bobby Ay and Darren Nelson. Zill, the projected Friday night starter, is 2-4 on the season in seven starts with a 3.03 ERA.

The Mustangs Saturday starter looks to be Bobby Ay who is 2-0 this season in seven starts with a 2.97 ERA. Darren Nelson will be the Mustangs Sunday starter, coming into the weekend with a 3.18 ERA and a 2-4 record.
